Placement of the Replica

The exact copy of the statue of the Nike was produced and offered to the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace by F.H.L. I. KIRIAKIDIS Marbles – Granites S.A. The study for the base of the statue was conducted by Gerasimos Thomas, Civil engineer, graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), MSc (NTUA) “Conservation of Historic Monuments”, Doctor of Architecture (NTUA), visual artist, graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts. The base on which the copy was erected was constructed by the company AEMOS TECHNODOMIKI (Κ.Νikiforides– G. Papadimos. The transportation of the replica and its installation was completed by the company ‘CHATZOPOULOS CRANES’. Responsible for the study and the construction of the base, the transport and the placement of the copy was the Ephorate of Antiquities of Evros. Expenses were borne by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
